Daily Doodle: Judge Dredd on a Sunday Afternoon

Song of the Day: At the Hop by Danny & the Juniors

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIXMKA7d4to

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m set beside the band facing a sea of dancing teenagers. A grand piano hides me from the crowd, only the top of my head can be seen. I’m pounding away on the keys and I kill the piano solo.

Daily Blurb 1/365: It’s weird how all soap dispensers have such tiny openings to refill. I feel like it should be possible to create a soap or lotion dispenser that has a jar type lid that has a pump coming out of it. That would take away half the anxiety of refilling the the liquid soap. It would lessen the amount of swear words that come out of my mouth and threats that I say to the soap dispenser when I think it’s about to bubble back out and overflow and cause a mess. C’mon liquid soap distributors, have a heart.

Musical Pipe Dream: I imagine myself sitting on the floor in front of the sliding glass door to my backyard with the daylight shining on the top of my head. I’m playing main chords on a kid sized keyboard and singing my heart out.

Blurb 1/365: Pick up the pieces, rearrange them, and put them back together.

Daily Doodle: I’m Feeling Better Today

Song of the Day: Money by Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qse5YVPUOrI

Musical Pipe Dream: I’ve imagined myself being all the different pieces of Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings’ band. In this song, I imagine myself in the horn section. Tucked over in stage left, two stepping to the beat, swaying when appropriate, and blowing that horn.

Blurb 1/365: Money, need it. Too much money, don’t want it.

Daily Doodle: Inside, We’re All Sweet, Sweet Candy: The Differences Are What Make Us Beautiful

Song of the Day: Somethin’ Stupid as sung by Frank and Nancy Sinatra

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6bOCUOPN0w

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m in a small club with a wooden floor. Frank and Nancy Sinatra are seated on the front of a half circle stage with the band crowded behind them. The house lights are down low, the spotlight on the stage. I’m in the center of the dance floor with my eyes closed. My right hand is fluttering at the height of my face with my left hand tucked under my elbow and I’m doing the cha cha by myself.

Blurb 1/365: Everything is ok.

Daily Doodle: The Beastmaster

Song of the Day: Phenomena by Yeah Yeah Yeahs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4YbIPqG5fY

Musical Pipe Dream: There is a scene that I envision with this song. I imagine a karaoke/bar/strip club that has circular red booths that face away from the main stage. All of the front row seats are provided in the sunken floor that looks up to the stage. Families order their food and eat free boiled peanuts at the circular booths while the strip show starts. The lights go out, a spotlight shines on a stripper with the perfect body scantly clad in a red ensemble. Families go on enjoying their boiled peanuts, onlookers enjoy the show.

Blurb 1/365: My life has a soundtrack and I don’t have to pay any royalties.

Daily Doodle: A Very Serious Shirley

Song of the Day: Flava in Ya Ear by Craig Mack

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-MLp3l2fkA

Musical Pipe Dream: I always thought it would be cool if there was a rap video with people eating ice cream. So, I have envisioned myself leaning up against a brick wall outside of a CVS and rapping while holding an ice cream cone.

Blurb 1/365: “There comes a time when you can no longer ignore ignorance.”
