Daily Doodle: I bowled a 365!

Song of the Day: I Can See Clearly Now by Johnny Nash

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkwJ-g0iJ6w

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m way off to the side of a stage playing the bass and singing backup.

Blurb 1/365: The last year has been enlightening for me. I’ve drawn more than I ever have, taken time to write things that, in that past, I have only thought, expressed my love and appreciation for music, and have been able to share that with all of you.

Doing this daily 365 project has helped me realize that I can do something that I want to do as long as I take the time to concentrate on what is important. My actions flow with the universe and, instead of being stuck in a whirlpool, I want to get swept up in the right current and continue to go with the flow.

I’ve always worked on appearing to be the kind of person that can calmly go with the flow and now I can say that it’s true. I don’t have any time for false happiness. Concentrating on what’s right for me has made everything that at one time felt dramatic or detrimental feel like it’s less and less of my business. I like the simple things.

I’m excited to see what I can do next. Though I won’t be drawing or writing everyday, I’m still going to make time for it on a regular basis. Stay tuned for more mouse adventures via comics or maybe another live tweet of Flight of the Navigator. Thank you for going on this journey with me!

Daily Doodle: TV Time

Song of the Day: Just the Two of Us by Bill Withers and Grover Washington, Jr.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEy6MGu3bIA

Musical Pipe Dreams: I’m playing the keyboard.

Blurb 1/365: I feel extremely lucky to have grown up with the family that I have. We are all individuals but have similarities that connect us to the core. We have this relentless protective tendency for each other and hold grudges against anybody who dares to do anything remotely negative towards any of us. We may forgive for the sake of no longer wasting our time or energy but we never forget. Despite deflecting negative people and energy, we focus on love and life and are happy. We will always be there for each other and I feel spoiled knowing that I can always rely on them. True happiness is my family.

Daily Doodles: Cargo Pilot

Song of the Day: Spanish Flea by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Z0pP8FqYvk

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m sitting in front of a small four piece drum kit. My shoulders are slightly hunched and I have a showman’s smile on my face. I’m keeping time and looking at the band leader for instructions.

Blurb 1/365: Two more dailies, and I’ll have drawn 365 drawings and done close to 365 songs of the day, musical pipe dreams, and blurbs. I’m planning on continuing to draw, but not everyday. I’ll probably slow it down to a comic strip once a week or every two weeks. I just have to put my mind to it.

Daily Doodle: Be Positive

Song of the Day: Little Star by The Elegants

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8F4vdF-bJc

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m singing in harmony. We are swaying towards the audience with our left hands forward and back and then turning 180 degrees and swaying towards the audience with our right hands forward. We end the song standing in a line equidistant from each other with our right feet behind our left leg, arms at our sides, palms facing out, and our heads bowed down.

Blurb 1/365: At BART I saw this cardboard box, like a juice box, with the top ripped off. The label read “Tuna Salad” in some sort of serif bubble font in white overlaying a picture of tuna salad. It was raining that day and the box was soaking wet. I 100% regret not taking a photo of that box.

Daily Doodle: Twistin’ the Night Away

Song of the Day: Twistin’ the Night Away by Sam Cooke

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSoPeZMHMf4

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m playing the saxophone. My outfit is a fitted blue pencil skirt that ends at my knees, white crew socks, and a white sweater. My hair is in a pony tail.

Blurb 1/365:

A short script I thought of in my head today:

Person 1: Hey, you know Shirley?

Person 2: Shirley? You mean from Orchard Supply Hardware?

Person 1: Naw naw naw. Shirley. Who lives at the end of the block.“

*silence*

Person 1: The asian Shirley with the eczema who broke that lady’s nose?

Person 2: OH! Yeah yeah yeah. That Shirley. Yeah, I know her.

Person 1: Yeah. Well she said that she wanted to buy 2 boxes of Thin Mints and 3 boxes of Tagalongs from Sandy.

Person 2: Ok.

Daily Doodle: LEGOin’

Song of the Day: Thank you (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) by Sly and the Family Stone

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ptrc2cWRxU

Musical Pipe Dream: I’m plucking the bass and casually two-stepping.

Blurb 1/365: I was thinking about how more current rap music includes lyrics about spending money and having a lot of money. Going back to Rapper’s Delight, the lyrics say, “Hear me talkin’ ‘bout checkbooks, credit cards, more money than a sucker could ever spend. But I wouldn’t give a sucker or a bum from the Rucker, not a dime till I made it again.” On a tangent from that note, I made one of my Animal Crossing neighbors say, “Hotel, motel!” as a greeting.

Daily Doodle: Keep On Smiling

Song of the Day: Here I Go by Mystikal

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ag8nT3ofkdM

Musical Pipe Dream: Everything’s in slow motion at a picnic at the park. Women are arriving and walking jello molds of all different flavors and fruit cocktail fruit pieces over to the main table.

Blurb 1/365: Playing Animal Crossing is a big stress reliever for me. The animals just walk around planting flowers and saying things like, “Take every opportunity you can to dance. Whether it’s a sunny morning or a rainy afternoon, nothing lifts the spirits like some carefree dancing.” Then you can sometimes see them at the club shakin’ it to Totokeke’s beats.
